Overview
7 Days tour to Tanzania and Rwanda takes you to the Volcanoes National Park to watch the gorgeous mountain Gorillas and the golden monkeys with African Apes Tours. You will then head Tanzania in the renowned wildlife Ngorongoro and Serengeti National Parks to have an encounter with the big 5.
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to Volcanoes National Park
You will be warmly received at the airport on arrival and be briefed shortly by our local tour guide who will also be your driver for the entire trip. You will then head to the hotel for lunch briefly and drive off to the north where the Gorillas live in the Volcanoes National Park. You will enjoy the scenic views of Rwanda’s many hills as you drive through arriving in the evening at the lodge within the park. Volcanoes National Park is home to the giant mountain Gorillas and Golden monkeys. Dinner and night stay at the lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla Tracking at Volcanoes National Park
The day starts with a hot breakfast at the lodge, and a transfer to the park headquarters to meet other guests to be briefed together on the rules for tracking mountain Gorillas. The tracking experience starts immediately after briefing in groups of 8 guests hiking through the thick forest following the route of the Gorillas. After a long walk, you will meet the Gorillas and be allowed a full hour with them as you take memorable pictures with the Gorillas face to face. You will later return to the park headquarters and drive off to the villages for a cultural experience interacting with the locals. Return to the lodge, have dinner, and overnight.
Day 3: Golden Monkey tracking
Tracking Golden monkeys is more/less like mountain Gorilla tracking. The day starts with a special breakfast at the lodge and drives to the park headquarters where you will be briefed with other guests. You will then hit the jungle and start to search for these shy apes in the wild. After minutes/hours of walking, you will meet these monkeys with golden fur feeding in the trees as they hide their faces. The Golden monkeys live in large groups and Rwanda is one of the few places you will find them. You will later return to meet your driver to transfer you to the lodge.
Day 4: Transfer to Kilimanjaro and to Arusha
After the morning breakfast at the lodge, you will transfer to the airport to fly to Kilimanjaro. Our local guide will be on standby to transfer you to karatu with a lunch break where you will arrive in the evening. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 5: Transfer to Serengeti National Park
You will start your morning with breakfast at the lodge and set off for Serengeti National park. you will enjoy the beautiful landscape of this great nation as you head towards the Serengeti NP. You will arrive in lunch hours and have your lunch at the lodge preparing for the afternoon. There will be an evening game drive to catch up with your favorite game in Tanzania. You will later return to the lodge to rest from the long day. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.
Day 6: Game drive and Transfer to Tarangire National Park
Wake up to a beautiful game viewing experience in the Serengeti Park after breakfast to catch up with the amazing wildlife at this park. have lunch and then drive off to Tarangire National park arriving in the evening hours. Dinner and accommodation at the lodge.
Day 7: Tarangire National Park and Back to Arusha
After a tasty meal for breakfast, you will head out for a game drive to look out for games including, leopards, cheetah, lions, olive baboons, vervet monkeys, wild dogs, banded mongoose, and so many other species. You will later return to the lodge to have lunch and head to Arusha as you end your trip.
