Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Bwindi Forest
Depending on where you will be hotel or airport) your diver guide will come for you in time. Have a brief guide on the flow of the itinerary and thereafter embark on a full day drive to Bwindi impenetrable Forest National park in southwestern Uganda. You will stop at the Uganda Equator for refreshment and photographs. Also, you will have various stopovers to buy roadside foods especially muchoma, roasted maize, and fresh fruits. The drive time from Kampala to Bwindi is roughly 8-9 hours via Ankole cattle farms, tea farms, banana plantations, rolling hills, trading, and local communities. The long hours of driving to Bwindi offer you the best pre gorilla trekking experience
Day 2: Mountain gorilla Trekking & Batwa community visits
Today is a great day for meeting the long-awaited gorillas! Wake up early, have a cup of coffee and with a packed lunch transfer to the park headquarters for briefing and registration. At 8:00 am hike uphill to meet the endangered gorillas in their family. You will spend an hour in their company, take pictures, capture live videos and enjoy this lifetime experience. In the evening if time allows, you will visit the Batwa communities adjacent to Bwindi Forest to learn and experience their traditional forest life.
Day 3: Departure
Enjoy your morning sleep, wake up to have your delicious sunrise breakfast as you watch fog clearing off the forest. Check out of the lodge and transfer to the respective airport (Kigali or Entebbe) for your connecting flight.
