Day 1: Pick up from Arusha – Afternoon Game drives
Upon your arrival at Arusha International Airport, meet up and greet with your driver guide from African Apes Tours have a short briefing and setoff for Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Enjoy the scenic 3-4 hours’ drive from Arusha to Ngorongoro located in Northern Tanzania. The drive takes you through local communities, towns and farms which make the whole experience more fun and enjoyable. Arrive in Ngorongoro at lunch time, refresh and get ready for an afternoon game drive. The guided game drives to the shores of crater lakes and open savannahs offer you chance to see lots of wild animals grazing and hunting as they prepare for night rests.
Day 2: Full day game viewing
This is a great day to explore all wildlife and beauty of Ngorongoro Conservation Area. You will rise up early and go for a whole day game viewing experience in the Park. Drive to all corners of the park to witness the big five game in this Park. The conservation Area is home to the highest population of Elephants in Africa and many more animals which include Lions, Elephants, Zebras, Leopards, cheetahs, waterbucks, bushbucks, Reedbucks, Jackals, Topis, Hippos, Wildebeests and rhinos among others. You will have a bush breakfast and picnic lunch as you watch animals feed a few meters from you. In addition, Ngorongoro Conservation area is home to over 500 bird species hence the best spot for bird watching. Some of the birds in Ngorongoro crater include Rufous tailed weaver, Fan tailed widowbird, Augur Buzzard, Black Crake, Livingstone turaco, Greater flamingoes, African white bucked vulture, Speke’s weaver and ostriches among others. Still in Ngorongoro Conservation Area, you will visit the Olduvai gorge where the remains of human kind where discovered.
Day 3: Departure
This is our very last day of the 3 Days Ngorongoro Crater tour. In the morning, you can have an optional gave to catchup with early risers and meet up with nocturnal animals rushing for their day rests. Have breakfast at the lodge, check out and drive back to Arusha for your connecting flight.
